I'm not sure why he went so deep though, I assumed at first he wanted to look for the arch but he didn't. He just wanted to get to the bottom. Very stupid. If you want to do that then become a technical diver, go down with like 4 tanks (two of which nitrox I believe) and have 'fun' (although I doubt you will with all that equipment)

Just don't go deeper than 40m, and don't be a dumbass and look for the arch (a pathway underwater 60m down which leads out to the open sea). At 40m, divers are only allowed to stay for 3 minutes maximum, or else they will go into decompression, and have to stop every few metres of ascent for some time, and then you might not have enough air to stop and wait, in which case you will definitely get decompression sickness.

For anyone who has not seen someone die from asphyxiation, it is an extremely violent way to go....Its not like in the movies where the person just breathes in a chest full of water, there's convulsions that occur after that from the muscles spasming.
