Jul 28, 2010 - @jreid0061 The cut it, because you don't have to see his whole death-fight, and to be honest, so do i.

beckybooxox Says:

Jul 27, 2010 - no the reason he kept on getting deeper was that he was suffering from nitrogene narcosis kind of a sleep like state totally uncontrolable

Jul 26, 2010 - Two words: Buddy system.Going down to 50, 60 m is no problem if you know what you're doing. If.

Badhyungah Says:

Jul 25, 2010 - think that you can easily just swim up to your buddy so that you won't be alone doing dangerous stuff (diving without a buddy nearby), but it's nowhere near as easy as it looks. Yuri had a lot of faults in decisions, he didn't drop his weights or try to inflate his vest to float to the top, it was only when he went clear to the bottom when he tried to take everything off in a last ditch effort to come to the surface, and he was like 300 1/2 feet BELOW, I'd have a heart attack doing that in 50 ft

Badhyungah Says:

Jul 25, 2010 - @9KoubA2 Hey, thanks for putting things into perspective! I've only gone down a few times, so I'm just talking from experience as a newbie diver, but 50 ft below the surface feels like it's deeper if you don't know what you're doing and or you panic for some reason. It's funny how in diving, if you get separated from your diving buddy by more than 20 ft, all that you can do is signal to him or her, because you're not able to always close that distance. Like in 0:57 in the video, most people

Jul 25, 2010 - @Badhyungah He's stupid. I went there 2 days ago to this dive site. The max depth our instructor gave us was 30m, and we were fine. I'm not sure why he went so deep though, I assumed at first he wanted to look for the arch but he didn't. He just wanted to get to the bottom. Very stupid. If you want to do that then become a technical diver, go down with like 4 tanks (two of which nitrox I believe) and have 'fun' (although I doubt you will with all that equipment)

9KoubA2 Says:

Jul 25, 2010 - There's nothing mysterious about it. I just dived this 2 days ago. Just don't go deeper than 40m, and don't be a dumbass and look for the arch (a pathway underwater 60m down which leads out to the open sea). At 40m, divers are only allowed to stay for 3 minutes maximum, or else they will go into decompression, and have to stop every few metres of ascent for some time, and then you might not have enough air to stop and wait, in which case you will definitely get decompression sickness.

Jul 21, 2010 - @yobuttin How are you sooo sure? I think you assume too fast! Nobody would want you as a lawyer, thanks God you are not, I hope you are not.

Jul 21, 2010 - @jreid0061 its the time of his last breathings and nobody want to see this...

Jul 21, 2010 - @Scraphapp lol me too...... i think gear problems

couar351 Says:

Jul 21, 2010 - io have gone 150ft w/out any problems so what happened to this dude? what killed him? was it panic?

djdorq Says:

Jul 20, 2010 - @Badhyungah lol what's with the 50.2309283409 decimal places, make u sound smarter? anyway, how do you know what his diving qualifications were or how much experience he had, or what his objective was on this dive? he may have been qualified to dive at that depth, albeit he obv made some fatal error in his dive.

Scraphapp Says:

Jul 19, 2010 - Man this is making me have breathing trouble.

TogaLive Says:

Jul 19, 2010 - @Osprey101 My money is on that as well. For anyone who has not seen someone die from asphyxiation, it is an extremely violent way to go....Its not like in the movies where the person just breathes in a chest full of water, there's convulsions that occur after that from the muscles spasming.

TheRumbleFighterMan Says:

Jul 18, 2010 - @Badhyungah so what happens when you go deeper then 100ft?

CrazCod Says:

Jul 17, 2010 - @jreid0061 two minutes of struggling before he died.

Lolaxas Says:

Jul 15, 2010 - @dechm4af No, he sank.

MrSilencer11 Says:

Jul 15, 2010 - @jessebijlsma1 you dead yet?

dechm4af Says:

Jul 14, 2010 - he wanted to show off that he could go deep, and he died...he was an idiot

jessebijlsma1 Says:

Jul 14, 2010 - things like this scare me to death...

Osprey101 Says:

Jul 12, 2010 - @jreid0061 Just as a guess, it was probably the particularly nasty parts of asphyxiation- convulsions, etc. I can't blame any family for not wanting those parts to be publicized.
